Yesterday I got to keep my 2 1/2 year old grandson. He lives in Raleigh, a three hour drive, and I don't get to see him as often as I would like. His mother was in western NC for business so she brought him with her and I got the privilege of spending the day with him. He is such a joy!
Although it was kind of rainy, we managed to go for a walk. He had questions about everything. Where is your neighborhood? Who are your neighbors? What kind of nuts were on the ground? What kind of animal eats them? What kind of leaves? Why? Why? Why? You get the picture. We picked up leaves and glued them on paper when we got back.
I read him books until my voice gave out. One of his favorites is Johnny Appleseed.
He takes such pleasure from the simple things of life. Oh to be a two year old again! We all need more age two in us.
This is Wade with his older cousin. This was taken on another day. I was so busy, I forgot to take any pictures.
Wanted to share a review I received from a customer on Etsy--
"You are truly a gifted artist ----I wish you had a published book with all these wonderful quilt/fabric works of art of yours--they are by the far the very best in this type of creative craftsmanship in the U.S.-- Thanks for the wonderful service- Love this little winter gem!" Clear here to go to my shop.
